Submitting a Proposal/Paper by following these two easy steps:

1. Create a detailed title page for your submission. The title page must include:

  1. Title of the submission (be sure to use proper capitalization)

  2. Topic area of the submission (choose a topic area from the themes of the symposium)

  3. Presentation format (choose one: Paper Session or Workshop)

  4. A 2-3 sentence description of your presentation which should not exceed 75 words in total. Please note that you are still required to send in a separate abstract/paper in addition to this description.

  5. For EACH author, list the following:

  • Full Name

  • Department/Section

  • School/University/Company/Organization

  • Email Address (all acceptance/rejection letters are sent via email, so it is very important to have a correct email address for each author.)

2. Fill in the registration form and email your abstract and/or paper, along with the above described title page to jake.madden@alyasat-school.com. Receipt of submissions will be acknowledged via email within 48 hours. There is a limit of two contributed submissions per lead author.

The final paper must be received by 31 May, 2017

Format of Presentations

  • Each session will be divided equally between the presenters. Each presenter will be expected to have the presentation slides in Microsoft Power Point saved in USB. Each presentation should not take more than 60 minutes including question time.

  • Keynote and concurrent presentations will be given a full 45 - 90 minute sessions. The style of the presentation depends on the presenter. Some workshops may contain paper presentation, while others may base their workshop on recent research breaking ground outcome in the form of discussion, or exploratory research work. Flipcharts, laptops, projectors and screens will be available for presentations.

  • We will also have the opportunity for participants to display posters. All posters will be displayed in the open area around to the registration desk.
